Climbing

Climbing

When not pursuing my research tasks as a PhD student, you will most likely find me climbing. I mostly enjoy bouldering and I am currently climbing around the V6/V7 grade range, with the occasional V8. I climb both indoors and outdoors and my most recent trips have been to: MagicWood Switzerland, Albarracin Spain, Shawangunk Mountains, Brione Switzerland, Sardegna Italy, Fontainebleau France, Yosemite National Park, Grand Canyon National Park, and the Peak District UK.

Philosophy

I'm quite interested in how both Philosophy and Computer Science are intertwined, given that Philosophy was my second major as an undergraduate. I find myself specifically delving into any topics pertaining to Metaphysics, Philosophy of Mind, and Philosophy of Space and Time. I am a fan of any philosophical writings pertaining to these three topics. A few of the philosophers that I have immensely enjoyed reading the works of are George Berkeley, William Hasker, Jaegwon Kim, Frank Jackson, and Daniel Dennett. Stoicism also happens to be a philosophy which I have meticulously examined, and I would consider Marcus Aurelius to be my favorite stoic. In Spring of 2011, I did a Directed Individual Study on Berkeley with a focus on his theory of Immaterialism.
